#OMGA, #Succession is just so good. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succession_(TV_series) #TV

Perhaps I could send a SAE for your special offer #tv

@tregeagle Way ahead of you. In my teatime #TV roster at the moment: #DrWho (of course), Rumpole, Drop the Dead Donkey, Sherlock Holmes, and Hill Street Blues. I'm hoping it has a preventative as well as palliative effect, but perhaps that ship has sailed.

Late to the TV party as usual. I just heard about The Trip. Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan travelling around eating food and talking shit. Another one to add to the list #pendingNBN #TV

@tregeagle I just hope his gravestone reads "I'm a teapot! I'm a teapot!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLQStcdhAGA Maybe some Curiosity Show would cheer her up. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ9oDWliqkUxGHsKVbkwQOw https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Curiosity_Show https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?user=CuriosityShow #TV #1980s

#RIP Stephen Moore, voice of Marvin the paranoid android in #HHGTTG (and several other minor roles in the radio series), and also memorably Adrian Mole's father in the #TV adaption. Always a delight to hear his otherwise remarkably soothing voice over the years. http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2019/10/stephen-moore-1937-2019.html

Oh Jeeze. Nostalgia. I can almost smell the shag pile carpet dessicating by the glow of the three-bar radiator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fex1b7axXl0 #TV #60s #70s

Enjoying Good Omens. Never been a fan of Terry Pratchett, mainly because he was so suspiciously productive. I've always believed in husbanding one's talents to the point of suppressing them entirely. Oh, the many great works I nearly created! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUJoR4vlIIs #TV

@strypey The Gavin Richards 1980s English #TV adaption is a classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p10xejjf0pw

The wonderful thing about 70s/80s #TV is the way hair gets shorter whenever somebody goes outdoors. It's easier working around problems encountered while filming on location by modifying what's later recorded on tape in studio than vice versa, so location filming is always done first.

"When asked what my favourite #TV show is, I always say it’s not Doctor Who, because that’s too big to be a ‘favourite TV show’, it’s more of a lifestyle choice." #q Paul Cornell #DrWho

#TV looks so much better in black and white. As I very young kid, I would rather watch the Brady Bunch than #DrWho, until on a school holiday stay with my grandparents, I watched it on their portable B&W, and decided it was the most brilliant thing ever. Later, inspired by Woody Allen's late-70s monochrome films, I used to turn the colour all the way down on our TV. It makes everything look better. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/nov/08/uk-households-black-and-white-tv-licensing

I still wonder why my parents thought it so important that children go to bed at 8:30 sharp. Perhaps they thought I'd benefit from waking refreshed, turning on the #TV, and enjoying a few Open University broadcasts before dawn. Not to mention The Thunderbirds, Bonanza, Danger Man, Gomer Pyle, Jackie Gleeson, Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In…

How on earth is "Super-recogniser Squad" not a #TV show? http://microblog.mjd.id.au/url/18318

I think reality #TV should widen its scope, beyond competitive building and cooking, to other professions. Consider what some enthusiastic amateurs, dramatic music, and portentous voice-overs could to do for accountancy, cardiac surgery, or prostitution. "It's day three in the bawdy house, and a now inconsolable Dave has failed to impress his fifth John of the day, while for his notoriously slapdash wife Cindy the silver lining of a botched triple bypass is that her patient is now in no condition to complain about the late lodgment of his tax return."

When popular culture is priced by weight: books thicker than they are wide. https://xkcd.com/2005/ I blame ad execs-turned-authors Fay Weldon and Bryce Courtenay. Pursuant, the requirement that movies be part of a "franchise" and #TV that can only be appreciated in season-long binges. #xkcd

There's some woman on #ABC #TV at the moment talking about how her move from #Sydney to #Sawtell resulted in so much less stress that she hasn't had a drink in 11 years. <sarcasm>OMG! Same here!</sarcasm><slurp />

So, ah. This was a thing. Oh goodness, the company we keep whenever we switch on that wretched box. http://brucesterling.tumblr.com/post/174409609908 #TV

#RIP Rodney Bewes, #UK film and #TV's universal best mate. Bob Ferris in the Likely Lads and Billy Liar's Arthur Crabtree. Also great in Resurrection of the Daleks, a comparatively rare example of 80s #DrWho celebrity stuntcasting actually working. http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2017/11/rodney-bewes-1937-2017.html
